Wayne E. Elser

Wayne E. Elser, age 75, of Kinsman,Ohio, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Warren, Ohio. He was born September 14, 1937, in Mecca township,OH, the son of Willard G. and Francis (Baker) Elser. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Elser was a 1955 graduate of Gustavus High School. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. National Guard for six years. Mr. Elser retired from Copperweld Steel in 1998 after 43 years of service. He attended the Kinsman United Methodist Church; and he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and in his younger years playing softball. Mr. Elser is survived by his wife, Martha A. (Carmichael) Elser, whom he married December 3, 1960, of Kinsman, OH; his son, Douglas (Tami) Elser of Kinsman,OH; his three daughters, Joane Roscoe of Cortland,OH, Linda Elser of Howland,OH, and Karen (Todd) Domer of Ravenna,OH; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Clementine Elser. Mr. Elser will be cremated and the family will have private services.
