Wilbert J. Peck, Sr., age 77, of Pierpont, OH, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born December 18, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Ethel Elnora Peck. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Peck lived in Pierpont for the past 28 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict earning a Purple Heart. He was employed as a bus driver for O.D. Anderson Co. in Greenville, PA, and also was a welder for many years in several small shops. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife, Gladys M. (Smith) Peck, whom he married July 2, 1955, of Pierpont; his daughter, Donna (Greg) Shiamone of Erie, PA; his son, Wilbert "Jim" (Cindy) Peck, Jr. of Dorset, OH; his daughter, Patricia "Patty" (Ricky) Georgia of Conneaut, OH; his son, Richard (Kim) Peck of Rome,OH; his son, David Peck of Ashtabula,OH; his ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold Peck; and one sister, Ilene Riccardo. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Pastor Tom Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Dorset Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, January 8th from 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
