Willard W. "Pete" Huffman

Willard W. "Pete" Huffman, age 84, of Wayne township, OH, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at Park Vista Retirement Community in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born January 15, 1923, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the son of Henry J. and Clyde M. (Sawyer) Huffman. A long time Wayne township resident, Mr. Huffman was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Harry Lees Post #506 American Legion, Kinsman. Mr. Huffman married Kathryn J. (Johnson) Huffman on June 26, 1948. She died March 13, 2005. He is also preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Loralei Huffman; two sisters, Evelyn Cole and Emma Gray; and one brother, Bud Huffman. He is survived by four daughters, Frances Barta of Niles, OH, Alice Huffman of Murphysboro, IL, Linda (Tom) Dodge of Wayne township, OH, and Juanita (Cameron) Rider of Andover,OH; three sons, Terry Huffman of Andover, OH, James Huffman of Youngstown,OH, and Rodney Huffman of Wayne township, OH; one sister, Lottie Gillespie, of Ashtabula, OH; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio, with Pastors Bob and Lori Coleman officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place immediately following the service in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 13th from 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
