William George Maple

Ashtabula, Ohio - William George Maple, age 84, died on Monday, September 3, 2018. He was born on August 13, 1934 in Negley, Ohio, a son of Mary Olive (Draa) and Henry Freshwater Maple. Mr. Maple served in the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1956 through 1964. He worked for Zircoa of Solan, Ohio for over twenty years and retired in 1997. Mr. Maple enjoyed playing on his computer, playing guitar and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Velda (Coxson) Maple, his second wife, Earline (Frazier) and six brothers, Earl, Paul, Dale, Gary, Roy and Bob. Survivors include his two children, Paula D. (Charles) Starzynski of Jefferson and Rodger W. (Kathryn) Maple of Dorset, Ohio; five grandchildren, Tammy, Shannon, Theresa, Jessica and Brian; ten great grandchildren, Gretchen, Maddy, Nicholas, Joey, Sarah, Rebecca, Owen, Addi, Mia and Isla; a sister Della Maple of Mentor, Ohio and a brother, Lester (Marie) Maple of Ashtabula, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 5:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery of Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 3:30 until the time of services.
