William P. "Bill" Herman, age 74, of Kinsman,Ohio, died Friday, November 26, 2010, at his home. He was born September 1, 1936, in Salem, Ohio, a son of Peter and Anna (Polder) Herman. Bill was a 1954 graduate of Salem High School; and a 1958 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He served in the United States Army from 1959 until 1960 and followed in the Reserves. He married Joanne (Lewis) on September 2, 1961 at the First Presbyterian Church in Salem, Ohio. Bill was employed by Cincinnati Insurance as an adjuster and by Target Industries as a salesman. He also owned and operated a retail store in both Kinsman and Andover; and the Bloomfield Flea Market in North Bloomfield,OH. Bill was a world class fast pitch softball pitcher with over 500 wins, 20+ no hitters, and one perfect game in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana Counties and the State of Ohio. He was a member of the 50 year club at Salem Saxon Club, Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He and his wife, Joanne, had a special place in their hearts for their favorite vacation spot, Myrtle Beach; and he loved his many pet dogs and cats over the years. He is survived by his son, Robert Herman of Kinsman,OH; his brother, Paul (Sandy) Herman of Kenton,OH; one niece; two nephews; and numerous friends. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 30th from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,Ohio.
