Willis "Bill" Quintin VanKanegan

Kinsman, Ohio - Willis Quintin "Bill" VanKanegan, age 81, died on Friday, September 16, 2016 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was born on January 12, 1935 in South Holland, Illinois a son of Esther Lillie (Diekman) and Cornelius Frank VanKanegan. Moving to Kinsman in over fifty years ago, he married Sharon Leona Koehn on December 10, 1955. He owned and operated VanKanegan Farms in Kinsman while working for the former Carpenters Local Union No. 171 of Warren, where he was a member for over fifty years. Bill was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Greenville, Pennsylvania for more than fifty years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Eugene, Clarence, Roy and Victor VanKanegan. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Sharon L. VanKanegan of Kinsman, Ohio; a daughter, Denise S. (Richard) Hall; three sons, Terry R. (Sharon) VanKanegan, Trent R. (Teresa) VanKanegan and Brad A. (Kelly) VanKanegan all of Kinsman, Ohio; a sister, Esther L. (Elmer) White of Winamac, Indiana; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. No public services will be held.
