GUSTAVUS — Wyatt James Post, 21, bid farewell to this world unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Boardman, Ohio. He was born October 26, 2002, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph William Sr. and Amanda Gail Shew Post. A lifelong resident of Gustavus, Wyatt was a proud 2022 graduate of North Bloomfield High School and Trumbull Career and Technical Center. Wyatt’s commitment to learning and growing professionally was truly admirable. In his short but impactful life, Wyatt carved out a path as a third-year apprentice of the Local Union 860 out of Cleveland, specializing as a carpenter tender with a knack for working with concrete on bridges and other infrastructures. His dedication to working hard while at work and at home was noticed by many. Wyatt found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending his free time playing games with his beloved brothers and cousins. An outdoorsman at heart, he could often be found tending to animals with care and embracing his niece and nephews with love and adoration. Wyatt was an adventurous soul, climbing trees and being alone with the beautiful things of the world. He loved all who surrounded him, especially his brothers, sister, cousins, and many friends. The echo of Wyatt's laughter and the warmth of his personality will be sorely missed by his dad and their daily trips to and from work in Cleveland.
Wyatt is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenny Shew, Uncle Pat Post, and Uncle Richard Dyer. Left to embrace his memory, his loving parents, Joseph and Amanda of Gustavus, Ohio; his siblings, Joseph W. (Joanna Sundeaburg) Post Jr., Benjamin J. Post and Delilah M. (Jason Thomas) Post; his nephews, Charlie Ameer and Noah Joseph, and his niece Jane Marie, all of whom are of Gustavus; his paternal grandparents, James and Dorlene Post of Gustavus, and maternal grandparents, Ron and Darlene Nicholas of North Bloomfield, Ohio; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In the wake of Wyatt's passing, may we celebrate the essence of his being and cherish the moments of joy he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his presence will forever linger in the gentle breeze and the whisper of the leaves, a reminder of a life lived with passion and purpose. Wyatt, you may have departed from our midst, but your light will forever shine brightly in the tapestry of our collective memory. Forever loved, never forgotten.
