We have years of experience caring for families from all walks of life, cultures and faiths. Our unsurpassed staff and our family provide kind, caring, professional service.
Jodi joined the Baumgardner staff in 1997 and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1998. She is a 1990 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and a 1994 graduate of Wright State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and a post graduate degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
Jodi is the daughter of Sanford and Carol (nee: Sowry) Baumgardner and is proud to carry on the Baumgardner tradition of excellence in service to the community. She and her husband, Jason, are lifelong area residents, where they have raised their four children, Alexandra, Jarrett, Gabriella, and Adreanna.
She volunteers with the Pymatuning Valley Music Boosters, and attends St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Kinsman. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.
Pamela has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1999. She is a 1987 graduate of Joseph Badger High School, and Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and earned a post graduate degree from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Pamela is the daughter of Hugh and Ardean (nee: Nelson) Baumgardner, and is proud to work side-by-side with her father Hugh, Uncle Sanford, and her cousin Jodi, to carry on the tradition started in 1944, by her grandparents, Richard and Martha Baumgardner.
She is a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, serving as a church deacon, and attends regularly, St. Patrick Catholic Church of Kinsman, with her family. Pam volunteers for the Kinsman Public Library as the President of the Library Friends, and is a board member for the Tri-county Funeral Directors Association.
Pam currently resides in Kinsman with her husband, Bill and their 3 children, Jacklyn, J. William, and Julia.
Megan joined Baumgardner staff in May 2023. She is a 2011 graduate of North Hills High School, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a 2015 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Psychology. In 2016, she earned her Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
A licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Ohio and Pennsylvania, Megan is also a Certified Celebrant. She is honored to help assist families in the surrounding areas.
In her spare time, Megan loves being outside, traveling with her husband Lucas and helps maintain their hobby farm, in Williamsfield.
Sanford joined his brother and father in the family firm as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1980. Retiring in 2010, Sanford continues to work alongside his daughter, Jodi, and niece, Pamela, as needed. He takes great pride in taking care of "behind the scenes" details helping them better serve their client families.
He is a graduate of both Kent State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and later the Ohio State University, where he was awarded a Master of Social Work degree. He went on to graduate from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Currently he lives in Williamsfield, and his wife, Carol, passed away in 2022.
Ryan joined the Baumgardner Staff in 2019. Born and raised in Andover, Ohio, he is a 2014 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling. Ryan lives in Cortland, Ohio, with his loving husband, Neil, their two dogs, Reba and Charlie, and their cat Zoey.
Jen, our administrative assistant, joined the Baumgardner staff in February of 2023. She is a 2001 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School.
She resides in Wayne, Ohio with her husband, Jason Knowles. They have three children, Brent, Dillen, and Katelynn. Jen and Jason own and operate Knowles Transport, a semi-trucking business, and Glorious Goodies. She is a member of the Andover Christian Church, and is active in Vacation Bible School, and Summer Departure.
In her spare time, she enjoys going on family vacations, gardening, and baking with her daughter Katelynn. Jen enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering with the high school marching band and the Andover Christian Church.
